    m20b27 rev limit?

    whats the number it hits the limiter at?

    i saw mine go well past 5000 and peg off of the tach today.





    and yes i was abusing it. its an eta nothing of value will be lost. so dont :hitler: me

    As a guess use the tach markings as a guess. As in see how far over the red markings it goes and guess.
    An m20 can not take much more than 7k because of the crank shaft design.
    As another guess Im saying you get valve float thus the stop maybe

      I was under the impression m20 had a rev limiter since all the chips claim to raise the rev limiter. Mine shoots right past redline on the tach, is that normal? (I've never really dealt with a car with a rev limiter before so I don't know)

        Most Eta performance chips will make it rev to 5200.

          What's the normal rev limit, is it common for the needle to shoot way past redline? The engine runs fine still, I will be watching my revs from now on though. Sorry if this reads poorly, iPod.
