    Fuel Line Help! 89 325i

I finally tracked down the source of my idling/starting issues. The end of the fuel line that runs into the fuel rail was brittle and cracked and bleeding off fuel. I disconnected it cut about a 1/4" down to fresh hose and reattached it. The car fired perfectly and idled so well over and over again! Needless to say I was really excited.

Now for the bad... There is next to no slack to begin with in that fuel line that runs down to the hardline that runs to the fuel filter. This is pulling on the connection at the fuel rail and I can't get a good seal on the nipple. The hardline that runs under the car is almost rotted away so I want to replace the whole section.

Will the fuel line from a 87 325i fit on my 89? Or can it be "worked" to fit? I found a great guy on here who has one off a 87 but I want to make sure its doable before I pull the trigger.

    Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks!

are you talking about the rubber hose? why don't you just buy some new hose. even if you can't afford OEM BMW hoses made in Germany get some US made fuel hoses from Kragen or something. Cost $1 per foot or something.

    just a thought.

If he's talking about the hard line, you can get a new oem one for like 30 bucks, that's what I would do. Fuel hose is pretty cheap as mentioned above.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am actually talking about the hardline. Does anyone know of any sources to get OEM fuel lines like that?
