M20 icv problem?

      So master tech man said coolant temp sensor and I know you went over that already but only thing else he mentioned was CSV and I didn't think I motors had it

        Is the 600rpm idle steady? What makes you think this is a problem? It sounds pretty normal, that's what my 90 325i does. Idles steady at 600-650 cold.

          yea ive already replaced the coolant temp sensor though lol

          i dunno, when i got the car it had a burnt valve and wouldn't run for shit. i rebuilt the top end and it runs strong as hell now but first thing in the morning, start the car and it should have a high idle around 1300rpms or so to aid in warming up the engine. but mine just fires up and drops to 600rpms. also it has a little bit of a shaky idle, almost like it has a aftermarket camshaft.
