    engine problems in the rain

so when it rains or is really humid out my car will have a very hard time accelerating, it misses and bogs down. i have just replaced the cap and rotor with no change and the plugs are fairly new too and look fine. im stumped any ideas? i dont wanna throw anymore parts at it till i have a good idea of what it is

Good start. Have you done the cap and rotor recently? Checked for vacuum leaks? I know this may seem stupid but check the basics! Does it run good when it's dry out?

you could try filling a spray bottle and misting the cables. if you see arcing or it starts to stumble you found your problem

As far as my history with these cars is...we rarely had to change the wires. Although this sounds like the most likely culprit. Keep in mind it can be any wiring that is exposed to moisture in the engine bay that is connected to the ign system. Wires get brittle and old and start to crack.

            water in the tank?
Condisation maybe? if no water in tank, try this cheap but offten over looked part: fuel filter..
I know it sounds funny but you would be suprised..

well as of now i have replaced the fuel filter, cap, rotor, plug wires, temp switch its not raining now so it runs fine but still stumbles and bogs if i drive through a real wet spot on the road. i have no clue were to look now. i don't think its water in the tank because it runs fine when its nice out.

Ground strap, check that sucker out! Mine was completely bare and was super stiff, wires shouldnt be stiff as this was. It did help mine ith smoothness of acceleration.
