    problems after problems...starter!

finally after getting it running...the started went out or something..idk

well i have a 85 e and when i try to start it it sounds like i have a dead battery or it will just click..but the starter is relatively new too...its a cheap on though

idk what it is i cleaned every point from the battery to the starter....i tested the battery on my dads 57 chevy and it started right up...on occasion itll start...but only once and a while....i used the power of the starter to move the car twice in the last week but only like a foot.. and then tryed starting it again and it started to smoke and i shut it off right away

when i try to start it everything acts like the battery is bad..all the lights go off or dimm out hard

    is it a bad starter?
    bad connection ?

and will a "i" intake mount up to a euro 323 head

What is the battery voltage? If the battery is charged it will be 12.4 or more. The dimming of the lights says that voltage is dropping a lot when you engage the starter. That could be from an almost dead battery, a bad connection in the primary power distribution, or a shorted starter or locked engine.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

you checked the power side, make sure the ground is good. Bad ground strap can cause a myriad of issues, least of which is a starter that doesnt work
