The ground wire from the cig lighter touched a wire beside it and made a spark (I know, I know.. I'm an idiot for not unplugging the battery when dealing with electricals). Anyways fuse #10 blew so I quickly replaced it and tried to start my car but got nothing. I know for sure the battery is not the problems seeing as how it's brand new. Fuse 10 controls the starter so is it possible that there is a short in the wire and that's my problem? Please help!

they all "Looked" good..
you have to put a test light and actually test them to see if they are good.
I had the same problem as you, and the fuse looked good, but it definitely wasnt. i had a tiny crack between the fuse that was broken and not visible until i thoroughly inspected it.
Also check your main relay.

Replaced the #10 fuse and still nothing. Tested all other fuses and they're fine. I'm not exactly sure how to test the main relay but I inspected it for cracks or anything out of the ordinary and besides a little darkness at the base of the pins it seemed ok. Should I just buy a replacement relay and start there?

The dealership wanted 100 bucks for a new main relay which is absurd. So I'm going to talk to my mechanic soon and see if he has any spare ones. I'll most likely replace both the main and fuel pump relay. This whole thing frustrates me so much. The car was running fine until I sparked that wire and blew the fuse.

I put both the main and fuel pump relay into a working e30 and everything worked fine so its not the relays. When trying to start the car I don't hear any engagement from the starter so i tried to jump start the car directly at the starter. The starter just made a spinning sound but didn't start any other part of the engine. Dead starter possibly? Please, somebody help me out here!
