    Fuse #10 keeps popping

I have an 85 eta that has the I cluster and I motor. Everything was working perfectly for about a couple of years. Just recently I replaced the speedo with the updated gears. The cluster worked perfectly for months up until recently. The tach would stop working along with the fuel gauge and blower motor for my heater. I found out that the 7.5 amp fuse #10 popped so I replaced it with another and worked fine for a couple of days. It's an intermittent problem cus sometimes it works for hours sometimes for days. I was even bold enough to bump up the fuse amps up to 30 and it still blows. Anyone else have this problem? Should the blower motor even be on the same fuse?

It sounds like you have an intermittent short in one of the circuits powered by fuse 10. Finding that may be a bit of a challenge, but I'd start by a careful visual inspection of the wiring. If no success there, I'd disconnect one area at a time until the fuse doesn't blow.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Thanks J. The previous owner had wired it and it doesn't look too much like a hack job. I could do that as the process of elimination.

Does it happen when you put the car in reverse if so. Pull the boot from around the gear selector you will see to wires that come up thru the shift boot it i probably one of those two wires grounding.
