so the PSIK is $300 more than just the MAF and for that you get a down tube and K&N filter? huh?
Miller stuff

From what I know as I have talked with them a bit is that you get a few things. You get the 3inch pro maf in the PSIK. Plus they have you bypass the coolant hoses that go to the throttle body. I have the 3inch MAF and a war chip anf love it. Best bang for buck I have spent on the car.sigpic"If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself." -Ferdinand Porsche

I have a miller MAF conversion, no WAR chip. Its been good for me so far.
That said, the throttle body is heated for a good reason. You're definitely not gaining anything by getting rid of them. The whole intake manifold gets hot as shit, who gives a rat's tail about the throttle body being warm (and free of ice)? Because the throttle is always under vacuum, water can freeze at a much lower temperature than you would expect.--WillComment

isnt it heated because of a venturi?

Does the MAF come w the same chip as the psik? if so, I can fab my own down tube for WAY less...From what I know as I have talked with them a bit is that you get a few things. Are you serious with this comment? This isnt a Cessna with and up draft carb. Its venturi action and fuel atomization that cause carb ice. As you also stated the intake get hot. HMMM Heat transfer maybe? Though My s14 did ice over once with all those non heated ITBs
No they change the tune you get with the PSIK. I mean I am sure you can build your own. However they have tailored the tune for the 3 inch maf and the down tube.sigpic"If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself." -Ferdinand Porsche

ive heard the war room is shut down. how has your MAF and WAR chip been doing without that online tool. i was going to pull the trigger on the MAF and WAR but im having trouble talking to them on the phone also now. i want to reach someone first and talk about a base tune before i just pay themm20 is plenty. im simply a drifter.

to kind of answer what youre thinking...
if u go to the website they have a dyno graph of an M20 with the MAF and without...then a dyno graph of an M20 with and with out the PSIK. the gains of hp for the PSIK are claimed to be 25. i cant remember but i think the HP and torque were that. The MAF dyno chart also has like +23 hp and tq. so its pretty much the same.
im gonna try and find those dyno charts now :-|m20 is plenty. im simply a drifter.

To answer a few of your questions this is what Brody from Miller wrote on e30tech a while back when they first shut down the W.A.R room.
Also, about the WAR Room, there was a major security breach a month ago on our website. The vulnerability stemmed from the WAR Room. At first, the WAR Room was closed to new memberships (not a free thing) and was closed because of some fuss from a competitor.
After the site attack, we disabled the WAR Room for security reasons. Whenever someone needed a file I would always send it to them.

I have also been emailing Brody from Miller the past couple days about this. I have been interested in ordering the miller maf and war chip for a while. But im also planning to turbo the m20 in about 8 months so i need reliable tuning from miller products not just in NA applications. He is emailing me back and answering all my questions promptly, so I think i really go with "MILLER STUFF" rather than Mega Squirt. To answer a few of your questions this is what Brody from Miller wrote on e30tech a while back when they first shut down the W.A.R room.

But here are the graphs:
stock 2.5L M20 vs. 2.5L M20 w/ miller MAF: http://millerperformancecars.com/fil...III%202.5L.pdf
stock 2.5L M20 vs. 2.5L M20 w/ PSIK: http://millerperformancecars.com/fil...0vs%20PSIK.pdf
Then they did another dyno run which to mean doesnt really mean a damn thing. who knows what the hell they consider to be "psik with supporting mods"/ im guessing an exhaust and differend intake filter/set up. cams or larger valves. who knows.lol here it is stock 2.5L M20 vs PSIK w/ supporting mods M20: http://millerperformancecars.com/fil...vs%20Stock.jpgm20 is plenty. im simply a drifter.
