87 325es NO SPARK AGAIN ......

ok still fukin with the same dam problem...good crank no turn over.. cps is new speed sensor is good new batt, new coil, new plugs and wires, new cap and rotor.. good dme..THE CAR WAS RUNNING AT ONE POINT WITH WEAK SPARK AND NOW NO SPARK AT ALL...JUST DIED OUT, WITH NO MECHANICAL CHANGE......

Okay....one step at a time.

You are going to hate me but....please check the resistance of everything.
That means:

• CPS
• Ignition coil
• wires

Make sure you have the right plugs.

Pull the rotor off and have a look see.


ALSO, how the hell did you test for spark. Did you pull the ign. coil wire off and hold it close to the coil connector while turning it over( it works but ITS NOT THE SAFEST WAY, don't kill yourself trying).

this issue happened to me the cause was the timing mark on the flywheel broke off.

on the eta engines the timing is taken off the flywheel in the bell-housing of the transmission. if that gets knocked off there wont be any spark.

else i would save you have bad grounding.
