    M20 Bottom End

I have an '89 "b25" E30 and am looking into a bottom end rebuild. What really is the difference between the older versions and my motor? Can I just pick up any M20 bottom end for the rebuild and fit my head and everything else on top?

    Thanks

you should be good with that block and slapping your head on it. HA ... the only caveat i know of would be the iX block which has a different oil pan which facilitates the front end diff/axle

from what i have heard the IX block is completely different. Any M20 should work i but keep in mind the piston did change. I don't know much about what came in what and what years ibut I do no they made several changes to piston skirt length.
