I hate it when people say this. Who is going to run a stock ecu on a turbo car. Your going to run a re-flashed chip on a turbo setup. Any tuner who is worth their salt can tune motronic to accept larger injectors and not need the use of a RRFPR. If your running an ebay chip all your getting is a retarded timing map. Find a shop that has experience with tuning old school turbo porches and they will be able to set you up with a tune you can't believe. I'd offer one but i'm sure it would only take a week before some jerk burned it and started selling it on ebay for $50.

the one off their site youll have to wire your self, i know you said your dads a master at electrical. but honestly i would get a pnp. i spent 4-5 maybe even 6 months fighting a simple backwards relay my buddy did. idk

Plug and play (pnp). I think all you'll need to do is run a map sensor line, iat sensor and tps. Way easier than wiring the whole thing to your harness.

What kind of turbo do you recomend? I know I was told holset or Garret but what model?
I was thinking of Holset H1C 16cm^2... Im willing to spend a pretty large amount of money for a turbo so please make recomendtions I think my$ limit is going to be about $1500 for a turbo but obviouly the cheaper the better. Cheap prices are okay but cheap products are not =)

Also, What is the normal compression in the cylinders that one should be looking for with these motors?

                    compression 170ish
but consistancy is just as important

you should rebuild/freshen up the motor regardless. good for learning and boosting

170 PSI static compression on a 2.7i? That would be impressive, I would expect more like 150 to 160..but as you said, consistency is the key.

As long as it isn't consistently shitty.

thank you. and im going to refresh the motor i was just curios i will be replacing all worn and broken parts with new OEM ones, everything that i should or to need or want to upgrade im going to and then everything thats fine to keep and still works fine im going to freshen up. i have the home family supporting me know so its going to come along find. now its just funds. i make more then kids my age but im not getting any help from family on a funding stand point so that will slow me down compared to a lot of kids that have parents with deep pockets. im very motivated about this ive been follling some intense threads and doing some research and im ready to fucking go lol thanks for the info man merry christmas

im not going to spend 1500 if i dont have to but im willing to. i originally was going to build an evo so my willingness to spend money was a lot higher, p.s. i just did some reading on that turbo and non i really want one lol
