Will putting an "i" intake manifold on an eta engine help anything?

Basically what the title says: Will putting an "i" intake manifold on an eta engine help anything? I'm swapping in an 885 head already and figured, while I;m in there I wonder if this will do anything. I can get one for relitivly cheap so what are the pros/cons to this? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure he was just being a dick.

OP, I have a friend who would probably be willing to sell an M20 885 head and intake manifold for the cheap. I also have a box of rockers and springs i'll throw in for free.

Hey alex, was that by chance durtythirty? on BF.c? If so I've talked to him about it and will probably get the manifold from him. I've also talked to Evan (Dj Syco) and he has two heads that have had the vavles are re-seated, the head is machined less than .08, and the seals are replaced. So I think I'm going to get that head but if your friend is not either of them please let me know.

side note: never got the exhaust installed that you sold me its just sitting in the garage, and thanks for coming to the right qt for me.I had no idea where I was haha

If you're swapping to an 885 head, YES. You should also be using the i injectors, FPR, wiring harness, ECU, ICV, AFM.

in fact I'm not so sure a "regular" eta manifold will fit an 885

It will fit but it won't be so good for air flow.

Learning fast about E30 performance. I have a 325iX that's been chipped and is fairly fun, but I'm looking for more bang for the least bucks. I've been a professional motorcycle and auto mechanic for 20 years doing everything from being a professional race mechanic and professional tuner, but am new to the M20. Reading as fast as I can, but I'm wondering what I can do for how much... What does a good top end swap give me, and for how much?

Can't do much else to your Ix. That chip was the best bang for your buck.
