    Oil pan gasket change

Hey guys, after two days of working on the car I ran into a problem

I recently changed my oil pan gasket. I initially tried Yoshi's diy on another forum. This method consist of removing the oil pump while the oil pan is sitting on the subframe. After I removed the two right bolts that hold up the oil pump, I realized it would be easier to just drop the subframe since I'm swapping in e36 rack.

When the oil pan was removed, I put back the two right bolts that I removed. I remember that the oil pump shifted when I tightened the bolts down.

my question is, would this cause the engine to vibrate? when the car is on, it feels like i have solid motor mounts, the whole car vibrates.

    TIA

I redid everything again today. Took the oil pan off and made sure the oil pump and the shaft was ok. I inspected them and they look exactly how yoshi's parts looked like. I also took off the belt for the AC, i thought I might have bent something there when I put the jack on the AC bracket.

    It still vibrates hard..

I don't see the pump as causing the engine to vibrate. The work done could have introduced intake leaks, which can cause misfire induced vibration at idle and low engine speeds. Or the motor mounts could be bad.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yeh, I only initially thought it was the oil pump. But the more I think about it, it cant be the oil pump creating this big vibration.. Thanks for you input tho

No, Actually its in the shop right now changing the gasket, motor mounts, and something with the driveshaft. I hope that stops the vibration, its so irritating. It vibrates the worst from 1st gear to 2nd, and speeds over 60mph.
