    lost something in the m20

i dropped a pencile into the farthest foward oil hole on the engine block.

i got a flashlight and looked down the hole it was not visable anymore
    Where did it go.

do i have to take the oil pan off to get it

The pencil is now probably in the pan where it could get caught up and shredded by the crankshaft. I don't know what that might do the the engine, but I can't imagine it would be good. Time to pull the oil pan.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

how does this have anything to do with an IX, why in the world is there a pencil near your open engine anyway?

you gotta drop the front subframe on an IX which is loads easier than pulling the motor I believe. and even then dropping the front subframe is lolololol terrible

he said putting his head on, no wonder he lost a pen in his head, his damn head wasn't on straight.

I will most likely get ground up and probably after time degenerate, seeing it is wood. it may just stay in the pan as I can't see it being sucked up by the pump. I know of people putting worse shit into the motor to quiet knocking noises from the block. Saw dust for instance...but as mentioned, to get it out would require to remove pan..and if you do that you might as well replace the pan gasket and clean up the block area. that really has to suck..sorry to hear..

it is in the front of the block so could i maybe just pull of the gear and just pull it out from here. it looks like alot less bolts than the oil pan which is sucking a big fat d right now
