    Clogged/Dirty Injectors?

Other than trying to pull the IM and get to the injectors, would you guys recommend Seafoam's product? The reason for me to think my injectors are dirty is the fact that there is a ton of hesitation on my 1987 eta. Fuel filter/spark plugs have been replaced within 200 miles. Still no change in the feel of the car.

-Side note, not sure if it's and old exhaust or something, but the exhaust gas smells terrible compared to my girlfriends' newer car.

    Thanks

The rotten egg smell from your exhaust is normal for e30's. As for seafoam to help clean your injectors, well some swear by the stuff and others will tell you to stay as far away from it if you love your car. I'd say just replace your injectors, or if you can get your hands on an injector cleaning kit, use that.

I don't agree with this. My experiences are that a rotten egg smell is due to not having a cat. or having one that isn't working

it's not necessarily a rotten egg smell. It's more of a,"think I am going to dye from these fumes," smell. I know its carbon monoxide, but it has a strange smell. What are some symptoms of a faulty cat? There are no codes or anything popping up.

a rebuild kit, or cleaning kit? Seafoam advertises as an injector cleaner?

The reasoning I am posting about the smell, is because I have emissions testing coming up at the end of the month.

An odd smelling exhaust is one sign of bad catalytic converters. Another is excessive back pressure in the exhaust. And of course, high NOX or high CO numbers are a telltale.

It isn't necessary to remove the manifold to R/R the injectors.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

any pointers towards a cat? High flow? Now that you mention the cat, It does make sense. The exhaust is complete shit on my car.
