    ...i needs help...

okay so 1st thing its 1989 325i 5speed m20....i bought the car with a check engine light...did the stomp test and it gave me a code for the injectors so with the help of a fellow member we figured out the problem...and it was that the PO just spliced the injector harness to the harness that goes into the DME(pigtail delete) didnt do a good job...saw that the power wire was brown and corroded so we cut a bit deeper into the harness to get a nice solid power wire. then cut out a connector from a harness that i bought from someone in the FS section solder it togeather so that it now has that pigtail connection to the injector harness so once that was done i put everything back togeather and now its acting up, once i turn it on it starts to idle 4-5k then slowly goes down and then dies out, sometimes it will keep a 2-2500 idle then just die out...i re-did a stomp test and it gave me a 1215 code...read that it has to do with the air coming in probably in the ICV or AFM but it all seems good and tight not sure where to start. but can someone point me to the right direction ...other words HELPP!...i made a video oh btw i really want her up and running without any problems because im planning on throwing a little boost in there (i have all parts) but dont want to throw it in without it running good.

    WTH happened???

You can't really just find a random power wire and hook it up to the injectors. It could be a necessary data wire for sensors or it could be.......ANYTHING.

If I were you I would save the pain and suffering and buy a used engine harness for your specific motor.

    BUT...
If you think you can fix it, here is a little ETM manual. You have to see what wire colors you are dealing with and figure out where they go.

Wait a minute... just forget my above post for 1 second.

Are you talking about the C191 connector???
      this:

If so, you might get away with just replacing that part of the injector harness. read these:

With those symptoms the first things I'd think of would be a sticky ICV and intake leaks. The ICV can be removed and cleaned with carb cleaner. Then take the car to a shop and have a smoke test run.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Paperplane...we didn't randomly choose a power wire I have an extra harness so we cut it open to see how the power wire ran so we saw that it ran half way to the dme but it just ran back around powering. The Icv tps op so all we did basically is open the wire till we had a strong power wire and just tapped into it..I'm pretty sure this power wire stays constant with 12v, and yeah we replaced that c191 connector. Because the PO deleted it and just spliced the wires with electrical tape.so I bought a used injector harness and a used engine harness and just correctly solder them and that help with the issue I had with the injectors not getting enough voltage. Ill try to post some pics up later today on the b4 and after.

@Jlevie- I'm going to try to do that. Hopefully it works
