    Won't crank in cold >:[

My car perfectly runs once it cranks, but for some reason it won't crank the engine over in the cold. it runs perfectly fine when it cranks and its not the starter or solenoid. theres a little black and yellow wire going to the solenoid when i twitch it around it will start.

So assuming it was this little wire I scraped it up thinking it was corroded and the tab it connects to and squeezed it on there tighter and worked for a couple weeks, now I'm back to square one and it won't crank

just wondering if theres something else I'm missing?

Too thick of oil? lol wait I thought you meant would crank slow.

Check the engine ground on the oil pan to frame rail

Maybe try some dielectric grease on both connections of the little wire, or replace the wire if it is old and brittle, is it part of the harness?

Yeah, I'd say check your Battery Voltage. May not have enough Voltage/CCA to turn the car over when its cold (the old min 9.6v min becomes more like 10.6v when its cold). Throw some dielectric grease on the terminal posts and see if its a contact issue. Could also be viscosity of oil (20w50 in cold can cause this), as it requires a bit more effort to turn the motor over when your oil is cold and already a heavy weight.

thanks for the input guys the batteries good we tested it on a load tester, and I put 10w30 for the winter time, 5toes sounds the most promising gonna check the ground wire

Attach jumper cables from the chassis-block and from the chassis-battery just to test the problem.
