So i just switched to a 173 dme to run the miller maf kit. However even befor the maf installed just a unopened DME it would throw a CEL ( code 1441 ) the blank code. Now its throwing ( code 1262 ) ICV. My idle was set at 700 with my chipped 153 and was smooth along with no CEL.
Anyways what Im asking is there a possible chance my 173 dme is bad? The car stalls at idle if its set under 900. Ive had the DME in for 3 days now with the miller maf kit/ 19#ers. Drives fine but that CEL and idle bugs the crap out of me.
When testing this the other day with 173 cel , i put back the chipped 153 and cel was gone and can hold idle at 600-700 rpms.
Any thoughts?
options : Get known working un molested icv, and a known test 173 dme.
My car , 87 325i motronic 1.1. And yes I know this is a direct pnp to m1.3
