Are m20 flywheels counter balanced?or are m20 engines internally balanced?

The flywheel is not counter balanced. The only engines that don't have some form of internal balancing (typically crank shaft counter weights) are boxer engines. Because the cylinders are opposed and act as their opposing cylinder's counter weight a boxer engine doesn't need internal balancing.
