Okay so I had a cracked head so I replaced it along with the timing belt last weekend. Still haven't finished the project as I was waiting for some other parts.
My dilema is that I used the camshaft pulley that came with my replacement head. But it's an older head I believe and the pulley has a different attachment for the rotor bracket (which it did not come with).
So I have two options. I can still feed the torx bolt through the rotor bracket and have it attached to the pulley, but there's no indentation to lock the rotor in the correct position, so there's no guarantee that the rotor will stay in the correct position.
Option 2 is to re dismantle all the pulley and stuff and take the TB off and put the other pulley on. This is obviously more work. also, if I go this route, am I able to re use the timing belt since I haven't actually driven with it and it's only been on there for a week? I don't really want to have to buy another one.
