    hmm yup. needs expert advice

hey there guys this my names serna. im 20 years old and ive had 1.2.3..7 cars a 78 camino, an 86 eta, a 98 integra gsr(quick but didnt feel right), a 87 325ic (this car had 64,xxx original miles) sat for years at p.o house i took it home running..barely. put in like 2 grand to get running better and still needed more. had low funds since i was only 19 and didnt have a good job yet. ill make another post with pics and all really soon. then a 95 525i (slow but comfortable) then a 91 318is(still own gonna sell soon :( ...) and recently got a 88 325is with newer rear bumper and old school front. infact this thread is about the 88. this car seems to run rich, really rich i think..BUT what do iknow this is my 1st post lol the car has a new o2 sensor and and the p.o says he resealed the motor just for fun(he was a bmw tech) and claims it has bigger injectors but idk why thatd make it run rich. it also has a fluctuating idle but im sure its the icv, disconnected it today and idles fine. gotta get one real soon. but if anybody could help me with why its burning rich id highly appreciate it. i hope to get to know you guys and post neat shit up for you to enjoy!

If larger injectors have been installed and a chip tuned for those injectors has not also been installed, the engine could be running rich. A bad thermostat that is causing the engine to run cold or a bad temperature sensor making the DME think that the engine is running cold could also cause a rich condition.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Also look at the black lid on the airflow meter, if it appears to have been removed someone may have messed with the spring inside, this will absolutely cause a rich condition.
