    Damn that was close!

So, I just got back in to another E30.. This time a sweet low mileage 91 325is. As a precautionary new owner to this E30, having no idea of its maintenance history, I decided to check some stuff out. For starters, it would not start and had to be towed when I bought it. I checked for spark and fuel and everything checked out. I decided to check out the timing and noticed that the crank was 3 teeth off from the head. I thought, WTF... Come to find out, the belt was in bad shape:

It's a damn good thing the Bimmer wouldn't start as this belt was trashed. Now it's time for a New Waterpump, Conitech timing belt kit (Pelican Parts kit) Camshaft seals, Coolant Hoses, Thermostat and Electric Cooling Fan.

    :curse:

Not sure, I am hoping I don't have to do a tear down. My Dad started his search for a M60 to put in his e36 and I can have his Non-Vanos M50 when he pulls it out... I also had thoughts of doing a M20 stroker if the engine is toast..
