I do not own an eta so only take my info as a start to your own research.

But in 1988, to increase the hp of the eta they didnt chip it. They got the 325i dme, and the 325i injectors.

And thats where you go with that, you put the dme from a 325 I in it and you make a super eta. and then you chip that, and you get new injectors for that.

But I never have had an eta. I did look at all the chips available recently. They have super eta chips, and those can have bigger injectors.

The super ETA can have upgraded injectors and chips.

it does have the dme of the I engine, and the injectors and the head. You need some parts of the I engine to upgrade that.

I assume you do not have a super eta?

    go ahead to http://www.strictlyeta.net/technical/differences2.html

Definitely experts on that one. Theres lots of performance mods there but Im not sure they meet your standard of cheap.
Nowhere did he mention his car was a Super Eta, and it's not.

The Super Eta does NOT use a 325i DME, it uses a DME specific to only the Super Eta.

No, you can not just "put the 325i DME in to an Eta". It won't even plug in!

^ this SETA is funny like that yes its an 885 head but yes mr325 is right they have their own specific dme the orange label 154, and they have their own specific fuel injectors. if anybody knows the size please chime in as i'v looked all over before and couldn't find out anything besides there somewhere between an e and i car like everything else they did to them. i car dme and injectors will swap over to an SETA car though.

I never claimed to have knowledge of a super eta, but I had a link to look up.

As soon as I read a comprehensive stats page, I have the correct knowledge. Or more like, I have the correct link to the info. Thats whats valuable.

I read something on the strictly eta page not clear enough, it didnt give me the correct knowledge you have: it said the engine management was the same. I probably wont suggest anyone read that again actually.

Thats what people with questions are most asking, where is a compiled stats page, not someones personal knowledge from memory.
            m.
I just did my best looking stuff up from nothing. I said right away to do your own research and I dont own one.

Im sure I was clear enough.

If the super eta doesnt use I injectors, then theres something else I need to look up. Because its a common upgrade to the super eta to get I injectors.

( Thats what the op was talking about, his orignal post. So I looked up, what is he talking about, and I correctly saw he is talking about a project that needs a super eta)

Not having time for full research into a car I dont own I tried to relate the points to research.

If anyone has direct links to a better eta info page post it.

like smoke dme, I am at a loss for finding super eta injectors on the internet. Im sure everything mr 325 says about etas is right but what I need is a reference because I cant link to him.
