    1987 vs 1990 m20b25

Just bought a 1990 325i with a snapped timing belt, head is completely destroyed and I'm thinking of just dropping in my rebuilt early style m20b25. What will I have to change on the motor to put it into the late model car? I'm thinking water pump and hoses but is their anything else? Bracket changes etc that I should be aware of?

Only the cooling system parts as you mentioned. Just use the harness from the 1990.

Say I want to drop a manual 89 m20 into an 87 auto, it is roughly the same thing except using the 87 coolant stuff?

Varinn, I've got a new water pump for you. It doesnt have the output to the passenger side overflow tank. I also have the proper heater hose with driver side overflow T. Hit me up on BCB

Yes, provided that you use the 87 engine harness.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
