    Copper on headgasket

Yes I have searched... the results were fairly old, and I am sure more people have tried this by now.

Would anybody here recommend using the copper spray gasket stuff on the headgasket?

Anybody ave success with this? Can you share how you did it..?

I have an Elring headgasket and I dont want to do this job twice..

It won't do any difference. the best way you can insure a proper job is by having your head checked and decked and your surfaced cleaned and all the torque sequences correct.

I spray 2 coats on each side with that stuff on every headgasket Ive installed.

Copper spray is cheap insurance and it definitely doesn't hurt to use it.

It's on my turbo M20's headgasket too.

if u get the OEM BWM made gasket, it has the coating already on it.
VR gaskets are dry and a lot of people will recommend a coat or 2 of spray on that one.
