gone through 2 radiator lower hoses today. wtf!

so i drove my e30 quite aways today and on my way to work my coolant light came on, and i taught ok, maybe just a little low or what ever, ill check it after work.

i came out an hour later and all my coolant was in the street.
the powersteering(?) rubbed a hole though it.

so i taught ok, old hose maybe expanded or some shit idk
new one was 17bucks at local euro shopp.

drive eh.. 4 miles home and coolant light came on AGAIN!
hoping it was just a lose hose clamp, i pull over and the same spot has a hole from the pully.

    is it usally that close?
    did my motor shift?
    any ideas?

        Two of each. They're cheap.

on pelican there about 10 each for motor and 7 each for the tranny. is that about the common price.
i pulled the motor mounts when i replaced the oil pan, so i know those are easy,
how hard are the tranny ones?

          thanks you guys

trannys are extremely easy. motor mounts can be tricky to put back on...\

each mount needs 2 lock nuts.

yes its your motor mount. passenger side...

for a quick check of a seperated motor mount, use a floor jack with a book, push up the oil pan a few inches.

youll see the mount either stretch, or stay with one side.

Otherwise use a assistant to give the engine some gas and look at the engine, it will literally move with the engine rotations ( should be staying still.) when you give it gas.

Kind of hard to tell just looking at it, but after youve seen a few you can see the metal discs are just off on the motor mount. maybe.

If it did go that fast that sounds like just the passegner side is seperated. when they are both bad its kind of better in a strange way but the whole engine moves evenly and the fan punches the radiator a touch.

( it is actually much worse and you should stop driving it, but it no longer cuts the radiator hose.)

On a car with the early cooling system a missing lower hose retainer can contribute to hose failure.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
