My ABS light is on and I want to check the relay. I was told the relay is by the drivers side speaker, but I don't see anything there that looks like the image of the relay I see on the net. I have an '89 iX. Thanks!

An IX might be different, but I'd look for the relay just above the ABS module.
If the ABS light comes on with ignition and doesn't go out when the engine starts, the relay may be the problem. However, if the light goes off with engine start and then comes back on before the car moves the ABS module or ABS unit is bad. If the light goes off with engine start and comes back on once the car is moving one or more of the speed sensors is bad.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Is the ABS module under the dash? Is it a silver box as shown in this link?
