So I changed my injectors on my 89 325i today and my car wont start. Everything is plugged in and connected correctly as far as I can tell. I'm getting fuel pressure to the rail. The engine turns over just doesnt start. Also, now I am getting a 1223 code. The new injectors are 19lb injectors out of a 5.0 mustang. Any help is appreciated.

I'm assuming you weren't throwing a CEL before installing the injectors?
I would make sure you don't have the coolant temp sensor and thermo time connectors backwards. If not I would then disconnect and reconnect the connector at the coolant temp sensor to verify a good seat. If still a no go, I would check to make sure the resistance across the temp sensor is within spec.

I do think the problem is the C191 connection. Is there a replacement for the connection? Is it okay to hard wire the connectors? The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

So I got into the engine bay after work yesterday and think I found the problem. The C191 plug does need repair. There are two wires coming from the chasis harness that were cut and frayed. I stripped the wires and bought some insulated male/female connectors. But now here is where I really screwed up. I'm color blind....I know, dumbass. So now Im waiting on a friend to get some free time to connect the wires.
Also while down there. I noticed that there was tube coming off of the charcol canister that was not connected to anything. The tube closest to the front of the car is just laying in the bottom of the intake manifold. Is that supposed to be like that?
Thanks again for everyones help.sigpic

the tube of the charcoal canister goes to the ltitle black vent sensor - it needs to be hooked up, but is not required to run.
