    Cam timing advanced two teeth.

Picked up a M20B25 that would not "idle properly" but had a bunch of new parts. When I rotated #1 cyl. to TDC prior to pulling the head I saw that the cam was advanced by two teeth. Is this enough to damaged the valves or pistons?

You would have to pull the head to check for sure. Mostly check for bent valves. If you check the valve clearances before you pull the head, and you find one that you can not get the correct clearance on, that valve is bent. Just a reference before you pull the head.i have found it has to be about 3 to 4 teeth off to bend the valves so it may be ok, you just have to check to be certain. At least you found the problem, now you can go about fixing it ;-)

Did a differential cylinder pressure test on the engine and all cylinders are showing 96psi at 100psi regulated. All the leakage is around the rings, almost nothing around the valves. I think I'm going to reseal this engine and see what happens. Thanks for the help!

You never reported back with negative findings, so I presume you dodged the bullet and it's running fine?
