CEL comes on at idle then goes off once on throttle

My check engine light comes on while my car is idling, it sounds fine it just comes on sometimes if the car has been running for awhile and I'm stopped for more than 90 seconds. Also as soon as I touch the throttle the light goes off. I just swapped the trans. in my car and I'm guessing theres a really small exhaust leak or something like that? Haven't poked around too much yet I'm just looking for some advice on plausible culprits on an m20?

    Thanks

Have you checked if any codes are stored in the ECU?

Sounds like a vacum leak. Mine did that and it ended up being the intake boot.

Sounds to like it could be intake leaks, possibly aggravated by an aged O2 sensor. A smoke test will tell if (and where) there are leaks. An O2 sensor that has 100k needs to be replaced.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

had this on my m20. ended up being a wire that had sort of broken in the harness. I suggest giggleing the harness while car runs to see if it dissappears.
