my car keeps smoking engine harnesses

i think i tracked down the problem, the chassis ground is really beat up. the wire (the plug connected to the oil pan just under the alternator)that keeps burning up in the harnesses just happens to be in the same place the as the screwed up chassis ground.

i changed the ground, checked all the fuse, and installed the new harness, the car starts right now, im hoping the problem is fixed now
