    Coolant dripping onto transmission?

So I've been experiencing a loss of coolant and the drips have been coming off of the trans brace. I didn't think too much of it since it wasn't so much and I would check my coolant levels ever so often. Well, on Friday I noticed abnormally large puddle under my car which ran the length of my car. Low and behold my reservoir was emptied. I topped it off with the jug of coolant I've been carrying in my trunk. I took a risk and drove it home. I got home, parked it and to my surprise there was no puddle under my car. Drove it today and bam, the drips are back. I get under there to investigate and I think I found the source, but cant find anything on it. This is on the drivers side, just on top of the giubo.

Anyone know what it is? Is there suppose to be a hose connecting it to something?
    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Guesstamation would be something to do with the heater leaking.

Thats what I'm thinking too, but can't find anything on realoem.com. Then again I don't know what to exactly look for, because I have no clue what it is.

That's the evaporator case drain hole. Lets condensation out from the AC. Long story short, your heater core's blown. You'll want to get the core and the heater control valve.

I did more research and just bypassed the heater core. I shouldn't be losing anymore coolant now. In the mean time I'll be saving up for a new core and control valve until winter comes around again.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
