well does the fuel pump turn on when she cranks and it's plugged in? I suggest getting a fuel pressure gauge.

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

No, the pump doesn't run while plugged in. I will get a fuel pressure guage, tonight from Autozone, on my way home from work.

odd that it would manifest only on rights though. You can try hitting the pump and seeing if it turns on. I've known dying pumps to come back to life for a bit if you hit it.

open up your pump under the seat...I had the exact same issue after I instaledl a new in tank pump and had two problems causing this same symptom...one the top seal was leaking and two the feed line had split...while the tank was full the pressure was great enough to still push fuel though the damaged line, but when fuel sloshed on hard right turns, the supply cut off, once I straightened again the supply was good again...this problem also caused my fuel gauge to be inaccurate...oh yeah, my feel line was split in between the pump itself and the brass hard line in the cap

Im pretty sure the fact that its only right turns has something to do with the split compartments in the tank...the pump compartment is much smaller that the rest of the tank, hence during left turns it is easily full, while on right turns is easily emptied

Eh... kinda doubt that. I can see the tear but the factory donut thing doesn't usually lend itself to leaking ironically.

well, mine leaked because it hadnt seated right after changing the pump...the line tear cant explain because it was good when i installed it and two days later it started doing the fuel cut during hard turns....very scary stuff at 60mph...but either way sounds like a pressure leak of some sort inside the tank is causing this...after fixing those issues I can run here thru hard turns on almost empty and she doesnt do it

have a friend push it while you turn left - if it starts, LJ851 is correct.

I'll take a look for split lines when I open the tank tonight, it was late last night and I was losing day light fast. I just checked to make sure it was getting power. Thanks for the input and ideas. I couldn't figure out why it was doing it only on right hand turn either unless the pump had died and during straights there was enough vacuum to continue siphoning fuel? By the time it started acting up I was almost home so I didn't drive it but maybe another 1/2 mile. The next morning it wouldn't start at all.

I have a 93 VW fox racecar and with it running I can pull the fuel pump fuse/relay and it will continue to run (albeit not great) well after the fuel should be gone out of the rail.

yeah, kinda the same concept as when you suck on a syphon tube to start flow...once you take your mouth off pressure allows the flow to continue until its interrupted, like when the level on one end gets low

Went to check fuel pressure and the Bimmer actually started....??? Tried it a few more times and she wouldn't start. Hit on the top of the pump and it started.... Was going to check fuel pressure with a guage but autozone was out of them

If you hit the top of the pump and your car started then it was telling you that you need a new pump. Go to Amazon for pressure gauge.

Just wanted to follow up so this thread could be closed or maybe bring resolution to someone else having similar probelms.

It was indeed the fuel pump. I replaced it with a new (took all of ten minutes) and she runs great again!

Now, back to other million little things I need to fix on it. :0)

                            Thanks everyone!
