    1984 318i swap.

I have searched and searched, is there a basic overview on a swap from a 1984 318i to a m20 swap guide somewhere? such as the 24v forum has.

It's pretty straight forward. Buy a complete M20 and related cooling system, transmission, driveshaft, engine harness, and computer. The only thing you'll need to do that's custom is make a wiring harness adapter.

Thinking about picking up this stuff, http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/2997800145.html

Just want the car on the road, would this be a bolt in on my 1984 318i? and would i also need to find a different driveshaft from my stock one?

It would bolt in, but you would be better off finding an e30 m42 as opposed to the e36 m42 you just posted. You would need to swap the intake manifold.
