okay guys i was driving to work today and when i was almost to work i started to hear a weird noise like a rod or something ringing or knocking i should say im thinking i fucked something up bad but car drives fine just when i go above 2500rpm it makes the noise thru 1to4th gear very concerned. please help me find the problem or shoot me some maybes thanks guys

When was the timing belt tensioner changed?

also check and see if your cam is being lubricated

now that i listened to it with my home audio. im gonna go with bearings. best of luck

i dont remember im looking thru the last owners paperwork he gave me.

Check your valve adjustment. Maybe you'll get lucky and one just came loose. You need to pull the valve cover and look at the very least before driving it again, IMO.

My motor made a similar noise tot hat right at 2k... then it turned into this after a week or two

Yeah I check under my valve cover with my brother and we looked and everything seems to be fine. But that noise sounds horrible

@5toes yeah mine sounds just like that but it only makes that noise when I crank the motor

Take a stick (broom handle) Place it up against the block and to your ear. You can determine which piston is slapping. Up and down the valve cover and you can determine when there is a bad valve, broken rocker, etc..
