So, I've been following all the threads about the M20 and the issues that everyone is having....
Unsteady idle, not responding to throttle input, sputtering/misfiring, poor driveability to name a few, with a p1222 code....
After 6 months of deployment, I put the same battery back in and prepared to limp it out of my garage.
Fired right up, idle was perfect...could it be this easy? Drove it around for about 20 minutes, not a hiccup...could it really be this easy!
So, I'll continue to drive it and see how it responds, but apparently, my battery might not have been connected well at the terminals. As of right now, I have not done anything else but secured the battery well. I guess slowly over time, as the car's performance declines, the terminals were just getting more loose.....
CLIFF NOTES: MAKE SURE YOUR BATTERY TERMINALS ARE TIGHT!
