Oil Pressure sensor

Does anyone know if the oil pressure sensor on the 1.1 and the 1.3 Motronic the same?

I'm doing the 2.7 swap and I dont have the new Oil Pressure sensor, will the old one still work, if I splice the wire.

Better yet, will the car run anyways with the old sensor not hooked up?

It's a switch, not a sensor. They are not the same between 1.1 and 1,3. Different plugs.

It's $7 to buy one...

But to answer your question. The car will run fine without it, but the oil light in your cluster will come on and stay on.

Thanks Turbojake... I think I am missing some wiring on the 1.3 harness so I will just make a splice into the existing harness and use the old one.
