Need a little help!

My e30 was running good and recently the check engine light came on but it was fine. I tried the stomp test and it wouldnt work. Eventually the light went out after about an hour. not too long after my check engine light came back on and the engine would rev and cut back repeatedly. IF you shut in on and off and trying to drive was almost impossible as it was jerking me out of my seat. Then it would eventually stop randomly. Unfortunately the stomp test quit working... Also when i start the car cold it misfires and when it warms up its fine except the idle surges and seems to be a little low... I ordered a TPS.. thinking thats why my stomp test isnt working.

I forgot to mention it did work one time randoly for like half an hour and saif there was no error. but it hasnt worked again and it used to work fine.

Any advice or people who have had a similar problem. i have been checking for vacuum leaks and all my hoses are new. IDK??

The only sure way of finding intake leaks is to have a shop run a smoke test. The description of the problem does sound like there might be intake leaks. Other causes are possible, but until intake leaks are fixed or ruled out it is pointless to investigate further.
