Fuel cut out at 4500 rpm - only in 3rd?

I get a hiccup when I punch the gas and to 4500, but only in 3rd gear. I searched around and noticed the common things-fuel pump, cps, injectors etc, but nothing specific to third gear. Thanks

You don't find anything because there is nothing special about 3rd gear.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I tried to re-create the problem today, nothing happened. Does it have anything to do with bouncing off the r3vlimiter, or getting close?

your rev limiter should not be near 4500 unless your in an e car, and as jim said nothing different happening at 4500 rpm in 3rd than 4500rpm in any other gear besides different wheel speed

Pretty sure motronic 1.1/1.3 doesn't care about wheel speed at all.

the load is larger in third at that RPM. Check your plug wires and such. I misfire due to ignition issues would cause what your describing.
