Can't Rev past 5,500rpm under WOT

Been having this problem with my car for a while now. Car has a new TPS set correctly, im also running MSD blaster SS coil, with magnacor 8mm wires, with a new distributer cap and rotor, 19lbs injectors recently flow tested, new FPR.

Every time i get on it full throttle the second i get to 5,500rpm it acts like its hitting rev limiter, but if i back of the pedal slightly it will rev all the way to 6,900(shitty dinan chip). Anyone have any ideas to what this may be?

Have you checked to see if the WOT signal from the TPS is present at the DME connector?
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

^ +1 my car was doing what u described but the TPS was bad. Replaced and good to go. Did u check it after you replaced it to make sure that it was working correctly?

and i ohm'd it out to what the Bently manual says. so it should be working properly.

The switch could be working properly, but the signal may be be reaching the DME. Get the car's wiring diagrams from http://wedophones.com/BMWManualsLead.htm and check at the DME connector.

A real dinan chip is in no way shitty. A. is the chip for your DME and B. are you sure it is not for an eta engine?

Just put in my Built Seta motor. its deffinetly not a eta computer is a 153 and i used it on my b25 before. it started doing this a few months before i swaped the motor in. I'm just now getting around to fixing it now because i cant actually get on it and feel the difference with my new motor.
