Eta crank position sensor tooth count?

Does anyone know if the early e cars use the same 60-2 crank position setup as the later i cars? (obviously not in the same location, but the same tooth count/setup?)

I think they have two sensors mounted to the bellhousing reading the flywheel. Might be a different number of teeth though.

Yes, I know they're not in the same location. I was hoping someone knew if it was a similar tooth count.

no they are not the same at all.
there is a speed sensor on the bell housing (front one) that reads the ring gear.
and the timing sensor (farther back one) only picks up 1 tooth on the flywheel.
on late models it detects the pattern and doesnt a lot more in one sensor.
          Much wow

So what you're saying is, you don't know the tooth count? Okay, thanks. :)

I don't think anyone is that meticulous to count the things without being told to, and then remember so they can post it here.

              But you never know...

Hey thanks! :) Looks like it counts the same teeth as the starter uses to crank the motor?

actually he is right. only its a speed and reference sensor is the technical term. like he said, one reads the flywheel teeth, the other reads a small little rectangular piece of steel mounted on the flywheel, i wouldnt exactly call it a tooth.

I learned about that one "tooth" the hard way because i had a fidanza lightweight flywheel that i thought would work, put the whole car together and it wouldn't start. figured out that i HAD to use the eta flywheel because of that "tooth"
