84 325e Wont Start. Please Help

WARNING : I like to be specific and write everything
Hey guys i just need some advice on what to do with this problem i ran in to. The car recently went through a broken timing belt which need a valve job on the head. I did the repair myself. The car fired up when the job was done. It did take about 2 more cranks then normal to start it up. Ever since then the car has always need 2-4 more cranks then before the car needed the repair. The car ran for about 2 and a half day then when i was getting some ice cream at the store it only took about 15 mins i go back to the car and no start.

I checked for spark in the plugs and nothing. I checked by taking out the plug and putting a screw driver in the plug and cranking it. No spark. I checked the Coil for spark by the same method. No spark to the coil.
    :hitler:
Then i ended up doing a compression test and when i did it i forgot to remove the fuel relay for the first cylinder i was checking and i smelt fuel so im guessing that fuel is getting into the chamber.

While doing the cylinder head change i have broke off some plastic inside the CPS or Refernce sensor located above the valve cover. So i glued it together. Not the smartest move. The car worked fine for 2 and a half days but then no start like i said in the previous paragraph.

Im not completely sure what could be the issue. I plan on checking the ohms in the sensor today. I just need some secure advice on what to check and what could be the problem that i would need to replace.

I am 17 years old and money is extremely short and this car is my ride to college and need it ASAP.
A side question how impressive is it for a 17 year old to do a complete head job himself with NO garage and limited tools in 100 degree weather? I feel accomplished to be honest. Thank You for any advice and sorry for the long reading :)

First off, good job on doing the head yourself. Seriously.

Second, did you check the connections and condition of BOTH crank sensors? There's two of them, both run to the driver side of the transmission bellhousing. There's definitely a good chance that these are causing your issues.

      Thank You:D
I have only inspected the top connection of the sensor i havent went under the car to check the pin on the fly wheel and both connectors.

        You gotta do it...

Isn't there some kind of electrical testing you can do with the bellhousing sensors. I'm not familiar.

Pull the sensor and watch in the hole for the timing slug as someone turns the engine via the crank bolt.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

yeah i found that out the hard way awhile ago
the pickup is prone to breaking but if u can find a competent e30 mechanic that can weld have him make a new pickup and weld it on the broken tab then have him make a block off plate to protect it cuz after the pickup broke on me the 2nd time i spend 250 to get a new one welded on so i didnt have to rip out the trans again and he made a block off plate and havent had a problem since.
