Good evening R3V, I just bought a 2.7i stroker off of a forum member that bought it already built. Just had a few questions for those that have already been there. The engine block is stamped 1278 921 294 87, I have found this an ETA block and I am GUESSING it is out of a 1987 car, can anyone confirm? Are the front and rear main seals the same size on all M20's or does the year e/i make a difference? What about the belts, is there a difference? If this is indeed an 87 block I believe the cooling is different than on my 1989 325i, if so can I convert the hardware engine over on the engine to work with my late model radiator? Finally, I'll be running 19 lb injectors on an open exhaust can anyone burn me a chip or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance R3V.

block year doesnt matter really about everything is the same externaly, the e's use a diffrent water pump setup with the early style cooling system so check what water pump and pipe is in the front of the motor to see if it will work, mark d has chips for all sorts of setups as do a few othersShawn @ Bimmerbuddies
