Either gasket with the silicone bead will work better than a plain gasket. Don't forget to also replace the four rubber bungs each time you change the gasket. I've never had a problem with the VR gasket that has the silicone bead. But then that might be because the valves get adjusted every 10k and I use a new gasket and bungs each time.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
