Thanks, I see what you are saying. I got a laugh out of it. Well just for the record, my plugs are still good, in fact I have two sets of bosch platinum 2's. Are those NGKs better? Anyway, I'm on a budget so, probably my best bet is to pick up a used high pressure fuel pump and throw it on and see what happens, right? And about the fuel pressure regulators, my buddy from work says if it doesn't work, you can soak it in gas and maybe it will break up some corrosion in there and make it work again. Any truth to that?

OK here it is... If my FPR is good then my pump is bad. If my pump is good then my FPR is bad. My rotor... There are 3 things I did which make it highly possibly bad...
1. Cleaned it up with a steel wire brush (maybe scraped off too much conductive material)
2. Broke one bolt that secures the timing case to the cylinder head (cap is no longer at the perfect depth in relation to the rotor all the way around)
3. Washed engine bay with water while the cap has a mm or so of clearance for water to get in now.
So a cap and rotor... Not a bad idea. I'm guessing that's what I need, in conjunction with a new high pressure (in-line) fuel pump. If the low pressure pump died, and I believe it did, then it is certainly possible that, in its dying, it made the high pressure pump work too hard to deliver fuel, right? Therefore one pump probably caused the other's output to reduce. I'm merely speculating now, since I still don't have a pressure tester. But it makes sense. So... I'll keep you guys posted on what happens. Thanks for the input again!

This project has gone in an aftermarket direction. First I tried an Airtex in-tank with an Import Direct inline, and much to my dismay, the inline kept going bad on me. After about the 5th time, I pretty much figured it was the Airtex not putting out enough pressure to the Import Direct, causing its repeated failure. So I threw both away and threw a TRE-340 in the tank. So far, problem solved.
