    i need help please HEADACHE!!!!

ok so i have posted a few questions on this stroker project i have started. The majority has been answered however one i still dont have 100% is the wiring harness. i have my 2.7 harness layed out next to my 2.5 harness and im sooooooo confused. I labled EVERY end on the 2.7 and im trying to compare to the 2.5 to start cutting and splicing however Im lost. Any labled pictures or anything will help please. The 2.5 harness is out of a 91 325i motronic 1.3 ive been told. I also just figured out i have the square connector on the body side by the ecu. My 2.5 harness is a 17 prong and my 2.7 harness is a 11 prong. Please help me.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

My 1986 bmw 325es came stock with 2.7L eta motor.
Spun a bearing so i said fuck it im doing a stroker.
Got a full 2.5L out of a 91 325i motor ecu and harness.
My eta bottom end with i top end pulleys etc. and i harness.
My 2.5 i harness looks sooooo different from my 2.7 harness. obviously.
      Im just lost.

Oh, well, first, quit trying to compare, you gonna hurt yourself. They are, as you noted, completely different.

First thing to do is get your paws on another E30 that came with an M20B25, especially since you have no clue what you are looking at.

Compare the two as you wire your engine...please tell me it is still out of the car!

Your '86 eS has a round connector on the firewall, right? The one near the fusebox?

Post some pics, this is gonna be a pain in your ass until you die unless:

        A) you post some fucking pics so WE know what you are talking about

        B) get a car to compare to

So, obviously, you need to do both if you want to be successful in this battle, and R3V wants you to win.

Also, do your best to find a proper routing diagram for that B25. It is really easy once you get it, but sounds like you are beating your head against the wall. Maybe RealOEM.com?

There is no "cutting and splicing" of the engine harness required other than adding the START, Tach, and Econometer pigtail to the engine harness. Any "cutting & splicing" would happen on the body side for an early 325e with that doesn't have the round C101 connector. You get the body side part of that connector and splice it in.

I'm a little confused about your statement that you spun a bearing and so now you are going to make a stroker with parts from an M20B25 and your bottom end. If you spun a bearing your bottom end is toast.

If you have a good M20B25, you'll get greater performance from using that engine as it is.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

yes i spun a bearing but im rebuilding it reguardless. The 2.5 was clacking pretty bad from all 6 caps when i took the oil pan off to just inspect. So instead of doing an I swap and dealing with that headache im redoing the bottom end and finally doing a stroker for the first time after owning several e30s over the coarse of 3 years.
