Wait....
Really??!?
It was low on gas?

Fixed.
Apparently you need fuel in a fuel tank in order to have the engine function.

Ffs.
Replaced fuel filter
Fuel pump
Maf
coil
Fuel pump relay
Main relay
Still nothing
Turns over like a champ, kind of catches, give it gas, wants to catch even more but dies.
Really gave it gas, sounded like it ran on 3 cyl than died.
What else???????Leave a comment:

Greg, thanks for the insight:)
I have access to a spare parts car for low costs.
I'm picking up:
o2 sensor
CPS
AFM
fuel pump
fuel rail+injectors
FPR
FP relay
all for about 80-100 bones.
I'll replace one at a time untill this hoooor runs right again.
I'll start from the back, as I do suspect a fuel issue...
I removed my fuel level sender, and there was what looked like marguard/por-15 on it...
once I replace my fuel filter, I see what color the gas is...i'm really hoping it's just a simple pump replacement.
either way, I'll have spares to boot.
can't go from running flawlessly to like shit just like that.Leave a comment:

Same thing happen to me and found a bad AFM. Check my signature on AFM rebuilds. You should read approx. 1.5-4.5 volts DC while the car is running. Use the pin seconds from the left side of the connector. Must be plugged in while performing test. 1 volts DC at idle speed, 4.5 volts DC at full throttle. (air sucking in faster opens flap.)
Multimeters are very limited as tool for this test because they acquire signal relatively slowly. Ideally you want an oscilliscope. But if your AFM is really bad, you will find non linear or near zero volts even when the flap is opened.Leave a comment:

I recently drained my fuel in the tank and it came out a light brown with deposits. I poured the fuel out of the fuel filter from the filter side and it came out black. I would definitely start with this.
With the fuel relay disconnected you will want to jump pins 30 and 87 (noted on the bottom of the relay) to pump the fuel out. Change your fuel and main relay if they are old as well to prevent future suicides.Leave a comment:

Awesome. Thanks man, I'll give this a shot.Check connection and check fuel lines. Your filter is plugged. if affter a while of sitting the car fires right up and revs, this is due to the filter and shit in it "settleing" but after a few moments of fuel pressure, all the shit clogs back up. This can also be troublesome to the fuel pump.
I usually jump the relay to my fuel pump and dissconnect the fuel return hose. Then I attach a longer hose to it that runs into a large bucket or gas can away from the car and outside where plenty of ventilation is availible. Switch on the pump and let it run for a few minutes. After a while it should start to run slower and the pump should be groaning instead of a whine.
Immediately swap the filter then repeat the testing phase. if it continues to run great then you have fixed your problem. if not, you have a faulty pump.Leave a comment:

Also fuel pump is brand new Walbro 255. I'm ruling that out, but will check connections.Leave a comment:
