    check engine light?

My check engine comes on while the car is at idle. When I give the car gas the light turns off. It also will come on when driving and shifting into.a higher gear which in turn lowers my rpm.

Has anyone had this problem before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The most common causes of that are intake leaks and/or an aged O2 sensor. The O2 sensor is a scheduled maintenance item with a replacement interval of 100k. If that applies, replace the sensor. Then have a smoke test run and fix the leaks it reveals.

If you pull the fault codes from the DME you'll likely see a 1221 and/or 1222.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Glad you responded as I respect your opinion/knowledge of our cars. If I m not mistaken I thinkk o have an intake leak. I think you are dead on.

      Thanks
