284/272 Idle

Installed a schrick 284/272 for a mate today.
it idles at 600-700 rpm.
and it idles smoother than my 272.
is this normal.

no two engines are the same. it could be very normal.

from my experiance you get better idles with staged cams like that. something to do with the overlap i think.

someone correct me if i am wrong.
