    Look what I found on my head.

    In the process of removing my exhaust in order to replace my drive shaft and saw this at the head/block mating surfaces. Is it JB Weld?

    That looks like deposits from a coolant leak.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      Are you talking about the epoxy looking stuff or the green residue around that?
      Do you think there was a leak and someone just dabbed some epoxy to stop it?

        looks that way to me. its not uncommon for head gaskets to fail around that spot on these motors. the bolts slacken off is the main reason. or the gasket itself sometimes softens as heat and pressure gets to it over the years. if i was you id run the car to temp. and pressure test it over night at about 15psi. it will naturally lose some pressure as the heat cools and water contracts. but it should still hold 8-5psi once its cooled. and untill it does cool will be at full pressure. if you do that and it doesnt leak at all. then leave it alone. otherwise it will show if its still leaking and you should replace the gasket
